2024 PAEA Annual Picnic Event All members, family and friends of the Polish-American Engineers Association are cordially invited to attend our Annual Picnic. DATE: Saturday, August 5th, 2023 TIME: 1:00 PM PLACE: Jack and Lidia’s Resort, 38610 N Edgewood St, Lake Villa, IL 60046 We will have access to various resort amenities: indoor & outdoor dining, bounce castle, bean toss, sandbox, 3 rowboats (note: swimming is not allowed). The Association will provide: 2 choices of meats, salads, bread, dessert; soft drinks, water, domestic beer, other beverages. Hot Food will be served at 2:30. Polonia for Ukraine The Polish American Engineers Association denounces in the strongest terms the Russian Federation’s unprovoked attack and invasion of their independent and sovereign neighbor, Ukraine. We applaud all Polonia and other organizations working to provide aid to Ukraine and we encourage everyone to get involved. The humanitarian crisis resulting from this invasion is only beginning - the full depth and length will not be known for quite some time; and will likely unfold over coming years. As a member of the Polish American Congress (PAC), we can direct all interested in making a financial donation to the following Polonia organizations:

Dr. Jan S. Plachta: Artysta Betonu i Stali - Mosty Rudolfa Modrzejewskiego Book by Dr. Plachta describes 40 existing bridges designed by Ralph Modjeski, that to this day remain as classical examples of bridge engineering. They are spread all over the North American continent. Dr. Plachta is a long-time member of the PAEA.
