2023 PAEA Christmas Party Dear PAEA Members and Sympathizers,       We hope everyone got the message about the re-scheduling of our November meeting to November 30th. Lukasiewicz Research Center - Conference with Polish Diaspora We cordially invite you to the 3rd edition of the Conference with the Polish Diaspora, which will take place on December 20th. The meeting is addressed to Polish scientists working in foreign research and development centers, foreign researchers conducting activities in our country, guests from foreign universities and representatives of Polish universities. The aim of the meeting is to establish cooperation with Polish professionals from abroad and to internationalize Polish science. The conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, thus integrating the environment and initiating joint international projects. The event also enables the promotion of Poland's research and development potential and encouraging local scientists to act in our country. The two previous editions gathered several leading researchers from world-renowned centers. The conference with Polish Diaspora will be held on December 20, 2023, from 15:30 to 22:00 CET: stationary (at the Łukasiewicz Center in Warsaw, Poleczki 19 street) and online. You can register your participation via the event website https://lukasiewicz.gov.pl/polonia/ The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Science and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.

Dr. Jan S. Plachta: Artysta Betonu i Stali - Mosty Rudolfa Modrzejewskiego Book by Dr. Plachta describes 40 existing bridges designed by Ralph Modjeski, that to this day remain as classical examples of bridge engineering. They are spread all over the North American continent. Dr. Plachta is a long-time member of the PAEA.
